Labor Day Race-oholic Binge Racing Festival

 Friday September 3rd :

Racing begins 7:30pm SHARP!!!

 Race 1: Slot.it Le Mans

Race any flavor of Lemans car you want as long as it’s a Slot.it with an

Orange end-bell motor (only), In-line driveline configuration (only), tuned to current Challenger rules (only).

 Race 2: GT2 LIGHTS OUT

Pat Travers said it best “BOOM, BOOM out go the lights!!!

Open to current Challenger rules tuned GT2 cars with working HEADLIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHTS. And uhhhh, oh yeah…IT’S GONNA BE DARK!!!

Race 3: CC/GT Debut

Make sure that cap on the glue is tight, put down the screw drivers, scissors and soldering iron, take the magnifying headset off and the cuts from the X-actor knife should have stopped bleeding by now! Testing is over and it’s time to roll’em out, line’em up and RACE!!! Tonight the Constructors Classic GT’s will spin’em up in anger for the first time. This will be the first of a CC/GT three race mini-series during the weekend. Points will be tallied at the end of the weekend to crown the first CC/GT Champion. If you haven’t built one (or two) yet, you still have time. Go to the CC/GT tab at the bottom of the home page for class rules and details and BRING IT ON!!!

 Saturday September 4th :

Racing begins 1:30pm SHARP!!!

 Race 1: NINCO NC-5 GT Pro/Am

NINCO GT cars with NC-5 (only), Pro Race parts are legal but, otherwise tuned to current Challenger rules. NINCO Lotus Elise is eligible.

 Race 2: Scalextric Mag-F1

Here’s your chance to get a taste of things to come. Soon the Scale Auto Racing rules will change and while for now they exist in some form of a “virtual state” we’re gonna run BOX STOCK Scalextric modern era F1 cars with a single magnet. The magnet may be placed in any of the manufacturer provided magnet locations on the OEM chassis. Safety eye protection and ear plugs are optional…but, suggested

 Race 3: CC/GT

Second verse is the same as the first. Race two of the mini series and the shake down continues. If your set-up didn’t work last night, try something different today. Even though CC/GT is a spec class at it’s core, it still offers lots of options. Just gotta pick the right one and hope that Frank doesn’t.

 Sunday September 5th :

Racing begins 1:30pm SHARP!!!

 Race 1: Challengers NASCAR

NASCARS…Scalextric, SCX, or whatever, Cars Of Yesterday or Cars Of Tomorrow tuned to current Challenger rules.

Race 2: Sunday NASCAR

Scale Auto Racings regularly scheduled and wildly popular Sunday NASCARS series will run at it’s normal time, 3:30pm. SCX C.O.T. cars with magnets are eligible.

Race 3: CC/GT

Race three of the mini series and the final points race of this debut mini-series. Let’s see who’s gonna be the top dog and the pace setter for this new category of race cars.

 Monday September 6th :

Racing begins 1:30pm SHARP!!!

Race 1: NSR Classic Le Mans

NSR Classic Le Mans cars, Porsches and Fords square off. To date the Porsche 917K’s hold slight in overall wins but, the Ford Mk IV’s and P-68’s are always close. In fact the last time on track, Jeff Senske’s P-68 edged the 917 from the Skunk Works Racing stable for the overall win. In a case of “the fastest horse don’t always win”, just .007 of a second separated 1st and 2nd place with the 917 snagging  fast lap but, the P-68 got the most laps and honestly the most heat race wins on the night. So, this race ought to be close as well. All cars must be tuned to NSR Regional Qualifier Rules.

Race 2: Challengers GT1 Matched Sprints

And now for something a little different…Challengers GT1 Matched Sprints will feature two drivers on track, one in lane 1 and the other in lane 4 for two rotations of 10 laps. “One Strike Rule” applies. Driver with fastest lap earns 5 additional points. GT1 cars tuned to current Challenger rules are eligible.

 General Information

$5.00 Individual Race Fee

$30.00 All Access Holiday Pass

All races will be 5 lap heats, 2 rotations and last man standing rule applies. All races are crash and burn except where otherwise noted.

Technical inspection for all cars for all races will be in effect.

We ran the Lemans Blast and it was one.    15 lap heats with stock inline Slot.its.  Very close racing with John and my McLarens being just a smidge faster than the rest.

Friday May 28 is a non-season race date.  Let’s run CL Le Mans, but Slot-It only cars with the inline cinfigured stock Orange motor and stock gears (9/28 – the yellow gear).  We’ll run 15 lap heats with our usual crash-and -burn format with the exception that each racer gets 3 outs before you “burn”.

Imediately after we’ll run NSR’s (Porche 917, Ford MK’s, and P68′s).  We’ll run the same format as the Le Mans feature 15 laps each heat and you “burn” on the third out.

Sound like fun?  Le’me know.
