August 27 – Well with a bunch of manpulation I think I got the points correct.
Challengers GT1 and Masters Open.
In Challengers Larry complained all the way to the bank. I still think that Ferrari is a cheater car.
In Master – take a look! While Ken took back the track record, Odie took the night. I think she has been sandbagging.
Aug 13 – A rare alignment of the stars and planets – F1 in both Challengers and Masters.
A great turnout that had us running both Challengers A and B. Special Guest appearances from Ronny and Crash Paul and Russell.
Very close racing and a lot of trash talk resulted in a start to another season. Race results are season results – until next week (duh!)
August 6 – NSR Special Race
Spectacular looking classic Lemans cars on the track together. Jeff and Larry duking it out. Jeff got the points and won it – Larry took fastest lap by .07 sec. These cars are great.
OK. Seasons are over so read them and weep.
Mister Speed (Larry) takes the Challengers Title although I’m thinking he cheated somehow. Only kidding – nice going Scootertrash
I (Frank) held on to win the Masters title although I had to bribe people to not show up on Friday so we couldn’t run the last race. Hack-man was nipping at my heels.
Well, here is where we are with one week left in the seasons. We ran Challengers Stock car and Masters GTS. Hoping I got the points correct.
July 16 – Challengers F1 , Masters WRC
Very close racing in both classes. Points are tightening up with only two weeks left in the season.
July 9 – Challengers Lemans and Masters Open
I wasn’t there to report first hand but data suggests there was a guest appearance from Russell Cox (sorry I missed him) and SpeedTV reports that Kasey set a new Masters Open Class lap record (sorry I missed that).
Race Results from the last two weeks plus Season Totals for Challengers and Masters
The last two weeks race results plus the current points totals for Challengers
No Masters races so points remain the same.
May 21 Challengers GT2, Masters WRC
May 14 – I am hopeful that it was simply the miserable weather that kept everyone away.
Challengers A – Stock car No Masters
By the way – How about that Ron Warf with a podium finish!
April 30 – Challengers Lemans, No Masters
Jeff had his new NSR Mosler looking and running good. He doesn’t make many mistakes so he’s tough to beat. Nobody did this week. Nice job Jeff. Kasey – Nice 9.571 lap time.
April 23 – Challengers GT1, Masters Group C
Challengers had a great turnout. Good racing. The old formula still works – stay in slot – get points – win night.
Masters was … well … Masters. Kasey makes it look like she’s just a quiet, innocent racer … then she crushes the field to win top points. Nice racing Kasey.
April 16 – Challengers Stock Car and Masters GTS.
The tailgating was wonderful on and off the track. Jeff and Ken had their SCXs set up with the RX-42Bxx motors or something because they were class of the field as far as speed goes. Jeff played the hare as well as completing all his laps to take the night. Ken did his “b_lls to the wall” routine part way through and finished third. I played the tortoise and completed 39 laps and took second. Congrats Jeff
For GTS, Shane and Jeff diced in each race they were in together with Shane getting all his laps in to squeek by Jeff. How does he get that Ninco to be so fast? Must be a ch__ter car”. Nice going Shane. Special note – Jeff is on top in both Challengers and Masters. Other racers take aim.
April 9 – The Start of Challengers Season 26 and masters 39 – Challengers F1 and masters WRC
Oh man, what a weird F1 race. Everyone had their outs and glory. Check the Points – 7 between 1st and 7th and 2 between 1st and 6th. Look at the lap times. In the end when the smoke cleared, Ron took top honors. Way to go Commander!
In Masters, WRC was … well … WRC. Incredibly great racing in every heat. These cars are on the edge most of the time. I got lucky and finished the most laps and got the win. I love this class.
April 2 – Challengers Enduro
A very interesting format - rotating through all four Challengers classes, each on it’s own lane, 15 laps per heat. Large premium for putting in the laps with the faster classes and not getting lapped while driving the slower classes. Frank (me) got lucky (on the track, that is) and glued enough laps together to squeak out the night’s win by only a point over Ken and two over Larry. We didn’t record fastest laps but very quick F1 (Ron) and Lemans (Larry & John).
March 19th – Challengers GT2 & Masters Group C results AND…Season Final Points. This post isn’t as cool as the the ones that Frank puts together but, it’s the best this higher mammal could muster. Jeff put in a strong Challengers run and Downtown Ken Brown cruised to the Group C win. I think I saw him doing the parade wave in more than one heat. As for the final standings, a lot of shuffling took place on the final night and would somebody PLEASE tell that Larry Edwards guy to give it a rest already!?
March 12 – Challengers Stock Car , Masters GTS
Challengers – Larry had another perfect night. Very fast and reliable. I never liked him.
Masters – Shane had a bullet Ninco Ferrari 360. Nobody could stay with him.
Hope I got the points right.
March 5 – Challengers F1 and Masters WRC
All in all a very bizarre night. Those who were there had fun. I screwed up agian and did not get the Challengers results so Challengers are as of Feb 26 and Masters as of march 5. I’ll get them straightened out next week.
Feb 19 – Challengers GT1, Masters Stock Car
Well, Larry had his Ferrari cooking in Challengers. A fast car driven fast. The results – a winning night and a new class record.
In Masters … well … we have to find a way to exclude young women with fast cars from the league. Ok, maybe not. Kasey Hibberts drove a Charles Hibberts prepared stock car to a new class record. Even Larry couldn’t catch her.
Two classes, two records. A fun night for all.
Feb 12 – Challengers Stock car and Masters F1
OK, You match ‘em up - The Good the Bad and The Ugly and Larry, Russell and Ken B.
All kidding aside, great to see some of the veterens returning from wherever old guys hide these days.
That stinker Larry has now pared down his collection so that he only has che–ter cars left in his box. Lightning fast, smooth driving and finishes all of his laps. Is there anything to like about him? Nice going Scootertrash.
Wellcome back Ken Brown. Missed you Kasey and Charles
Feb 5 – Challengers F1, Masters GroupC
A bit of wheel banging in F1 but no more than expected. Several fast cars under 10s. We need to find a way to throw Larry off his game as he takes the night again. Nice work.
In Group C Shane makes a guest appearance, drives Larry’s backup car and wins the night. Great racing Shane. Three cars with sub 7s. Man these suckers are getting fast!
January 29 – Challengers Lemans, Masters GTS
Holy cow Batman! Not only does Kasey take the night in Challengers but she sets a new lap record! hama mama, that must be a che_ter c_r. Only kidding – Way to go Kasey.
In Masters, Larry, Ken and Jeff ran their own race in the Fly Ferraris. Ken sets a new lap record in kamakazi mode completing only 16 laps.
Two weeks worth of results as I was shirking my responsibilities last week.
Jan 15 – Challengers Stock car and Masters Open
Jan 22 – Challengers GT2 and Masters WRC
Now there are 4 different classes?
Congrats to The Hackman for taking masters this week. We need to break your trigger finger or something.
January 8 – Challengers F1 and Masters Stock Car
Wheel rubbin’ and brick slingin’
There appears to be strong evidence that someone nerfed Larry out on the first turn of the last lap to win Challengers. I say prove it! Sorry Larry. Despite the nerf, everyone loves running the Ninco F1s.
Good crowd for Masters. Special Guest Star Tim Allen was there to sign autographs and race. Larry had his silent gas turbine powered SCX running smooth and took first place for the night. I hope he doesn’t find the sand I stuffed in his motor before we run the bricks again.
January 1, 2010
Limited high quality turnout for the non-season New Years Day fun endurance run. All Slot.it Lemans cars with the red end bell motors made for very close racing. Fast lap times on the three leaders were all within a 10th or so therefore staying in the slot was a source of ”free points” (one point deducted for each “out”). Kasey had fastest lap at something like 9.7XX but Larry was his normal consistent self and had the least “outs”. Despite plotting between Kasey and I, we couldn’t keep Larry out of the top spot. Congrats.

December 18 – Challengers Lemans, Masters F1
No Challengers B but a nice crowd for CLA. Great to see Russ, Rick and the Carlson kids (young adults). The racing wouldn’t be complete without a little agida so we had some debate on re-starts this time. As always, we got through it and saw the usual great racing. Larry had his Audi in tip-top form and fueled by multiple slices of his tuti-fruit pizza was able to not only take the contest but set a new Lemans Class Lap record. Congratulations Scootertrash!
In Masters, we were able to convince _aaron to run. That helps me the most as it gives me something to shoot at. I can’t remember who was running the marshall station (I think it was John) but congrats on finding a way to get Larry to launch his Masters F1 car into the turn 1 wall before the start of the first race. That might have been our only chance at beating him this week. Amazing how it added to and broke the tension at the same time. After some quick repairs interlaced with the appropriate expletives, Larry still had one of the smoothest, quietest cars ever. Class of the field by half a second, he took the Masters contest.
Just a note – it’s not a cooincidence the the leader in both Challengers and Masters (Larry) has a lap completion percentage of 90 and above in both classes. Drivers take note.
Merry Christmas to all.

Two really fun races last night.
If you’ve not raced with the lights out and depended on the car headlights to see, you need to try. Man, it’s dark. And what a sight. Some very close racing – at least based upon the multiple pairs of lights coming down the straight together. Most all were SCX Vettes. Larry had fast lap and drove the most consistent staying out front most of the time – unless locked in a battle with Ken. This race was very-very cool. Everyone thought we need to do it again.
In the second race of the doubleheader, Scaleys Fly and SCXs with stock magnets. I’m not a magnet guy but these cars were entertaining to run. There is definitely a need to change driving style. Larry and Kasey had it figured out and had some great races. I stayed out of everyone’s way and although I put everyone asleep with my slow lap times, I did enough laps to win the event. What’s that story about the tortoise and the hare?
Those who weren’t there – we missed you and you missed some fun races.

Week One of Challengers Season 25 and Masters Season 38.
Open-wheelers touching and launching. A bunch of close lap times. Racy Kasey with a sub 9.8!! Jeff uses his consistency to log the laps and win the night.
4WDers in Masters. Seems like we raced twice. Oh yeah, we did. My big fat knee hit the power button on the computer midway through the event. I paid the price the second time around when I forgot there were actually turns on the course. Thankfully _aaron didin’t race or I would have lost to him. Larry drove fast and with consistency to take the night’s glory.

November 6 – Challengers GT2, Masters Group C (I hate that class!)
No Challengers B Race so the points remain unchanged – Congrats Rick for holding on to the season title.
Challengers A – Three SCX vettes taking it to the rest of the field. Larry’s equipment and superior driving prevails. Jeff’s consistency brings him the season title. Way to go.
Masters – Have I mentioned I hate this class? Ken Stevens incedibly quick ScaleAuto Toyota took fast lap and the night’s win although Larry is chipping away at the lap times. I was able to hold Larry off for the Season title mostly due to an additional race. Have I mentioned I hate this class?

Challengers – Stock car, Masters GTS
Good friends, good racing, good pizza.

Challengers – F1 and Masters WRC
Great to see Tim and Shane and Shawn for Challengers although all were a bit “rusty”. Only way to fix that is to come every week. Check out the first 5 places. All sub 10s. Hoochie Mamma!
Good turnout for Masters. Had to turn _aaron away. Shane was rocket fast (as always). I loosened the lugnuts on one of his wheels so he came out a couple of times allowing me to squeak by. Only kidding – there are no lugnuts ….. well, at least not on the cars.

Challengers Lemans, Masters Open (sorta,kinda)
Holy frejoles batman, all our racers have been abducted by aliens! What other explanation can there be?
Friday was a quality versus quantity night – five dedicated racers and a lot of open track (Well, four dedicated racers and me)
No B League and No Masters but Challengers A was fun. Kasey “Racy” Hibberts took it to the old guys and won the night. I think what they say is “you go girl!”

October 2 – Challengers Stock Car and Masters F1
Our B leaguers must have lost their maps to the shop – No B Race this week!
The usual fender banging and trash talking in Challengers Stock Car. Russell wins two awards for the night – fastest lap and ugliest car.
Jeff wins the title that means the most – most points for the night.
In Masters Jeff has his McLaren looking “sweet” and fast but Larry again has the class of the field turning a 9.2

September 25 Racing – Challengers F1 and Masters Group C … Wheel banging and stupid cars.
Looks like Rick and Shawn ( in a rare appearance) duked it out in Challengers B and Jeff played it conservative to get all his laps in to take Challengers A
In Masters, Ken Stevens by far had the fastest horse but gave us all some relief as he pushed past the limit a couple times in generating some quick laps.

September 18 Challengers Lemans and Masters GTS
No CLB race – where the heck were you guys ???
As always, Lemans was a great group of races.
In Masters we needed to call on aaron to fill out the field. He put in a valiant effort but still couldn’t claw his way up from the bottom.

September 11 – Challengers GT2, Masters WRC

August 28 Challengers Stock Car and Masters Open
Kasey pulls away from Cooper a bit in the standings but Charles beats ‘em both for the evening.
Jeff puts in the combination of laps and lap time to take CL A
Masters Open (I hate it) was another rocket-fest. aaron tried his best but couldn’t break into the points – although he gave Frank and Larry a run for their money.

August 21 – Challengers F1 and (should have been) Masters Stock Car
The storms must have kept the crowds away. We ran a single Challengers race and no Masters race.
I got lucky with a timing malfunction and lowered the track record to 9.644.
How about that Ron Warf!
With no race in CLB or Masters, last week’s totals stand.

August 14 – Challengers Lemans & Masters F1
Greg brought his Audi rocket to take the top spot in CLB but check the Cooper-Kasey battle for the season lead.
Larry had a perfect night in CLA … again. Nice job Laurenzo
Ken Brown makes his laps in Masters and wins the night. Thanksfully _aaron didn’t need to race.

August 7, 2009 – Week 3 of Season 24 – Challengers GT1

No Masters Race this week but here are the Season 37 Standings

Week 2 Challengers Stock Car and Masters GTS

First Week of Challengers Season 24 and Masters Season 37 so the night’s points are the season totals.
Good racing in both classes. Where the heck were the Warfs??
Kasey Hibberts going sub-10 in Challengers B. Someone’ s been practicing.
New track record in F1 by Frank M in Challengers A at 9.704. Squeeked by Shane at a 9.708
Shane was class of the field in WRC … again.
Correction from last week – the track record in GT2 was by Larry Edwards. (Larry – I didn’t report in error on purpose, honest).

Final Week of the Season for all classes. GT2 for Challengers and Group C for Masters.
No Challengers B race so the standings finished as last week.. Congrats to Jeff Senske.
For Challengers A no drama about the class winner. Congratulations to Larry Edwards. Looks like the Warf family are on opposite sides of the A/B cut line. How great is that ! Oh by the way, Ken Stevens set a new track record for GT2.
In Masters, Jeff Senske had a great night with a really quick car, driven well. Shane Slement had a good enough night to take the Season title. Way to go.

Challengers Stock Car – Cooked some burgers, ruffled some feathers, teched some cars, ruffled some feathers, had some fun anyway. (except for me – I sucked)
Masters GTS – A gaggle of Fly Ferrari F40s couldn’t keep the F360 of John Hacker down. Nice job John.

Greg,
I don’t know how to post points on this new site. There does not appear to be any capability to attach a file.
Can you help me?
Frank M.
I guess that there is no link to past races???
Frank…
Thanx again for ‘doing’ the points!!
I guess that there is no direct commments on the points posting…
Anyway, you don’t have to worry about the tailgating ‘delaying’ racing any longer!! (so no more ruffled feathers…)
And we did our part by pulling our ‘illegal’ cars out of the race so that nobody would have their feathers ruffled & their night ruined by being ‘nerfed’ while they were passing us!!
(As you know , they are racing for that huge trophy and big prize money payoff at the end of the season…)
So technically the top 3 “B” league racers last Friday were actually “A” leaguers, since they were in the top 15 of last season, right…
Does that mean William was the ‘actual’ winner of the “B” race??
