Okay Sears Point it ain't but, since I have in fact raced there I can tell you that our 120' custom routed road course is pretty darn close! Tuff to find a more technically challenging track Doin' it with a NASCAR makes it that much more fun and 60 laps at our normal race fee.

Standard Challenger League Rules Apply

We'll race our normal format ( 40 laps) running each lane 2 times in 5 lap heats.  Immediately following we'll run a team event with 2 drivers per team,  teammates will alternate every other lane using our normal race format running each lane 2 times in 5 lap heats (40 laps).  Teams will be chosen based on the results of the first event.

The FIA did everything it could to get Ferrari and Massa to win the championship. Well it seems the weather and Glock had a say in the final result. Lewis won the Championship by the skin of his teeth and I have to say I thought it was all lost until that last turn when everybody over took Glock. Good job Mclaren and good job Ferrari for play well at the last race.

I now hear the FIA is saying that they will be using or thinking about using a spec motor in 2010. Lets see if that is the case why don't they just put everybody in GP2 cars and call it F1. Ferrari has said this may be cause for them to pull out of F1 racing. Now they are not my favorite team but God bless them for saying this. F1 will be dead if they go to a spec motor. nuff said..

Ninco Halloween Howl

We'll run any Ninco Anglewinder car with any Ninco Stock, Pro Racr, or Pro Race Evo parts.

NC-5 or NC-6 motors are allowed.

We'll run at 12 volts and run our usual European lane rotation and run 3 minute heats each lane.

Modified crash and burn rules: on deslot the power is turned off and the de-slotted car is placed back on the lane and the race restarted.

Race Fee: $5.00

Race Start: 7:30pm

One of the good things that comes after a natural disaster is the discovery about just how nice people can be. We asked you guys, our racers, to come in and spend a few bucks, and you did. And then Gil stepped up with his Triggers N Scissors initiative.

Today I need to thank Michael, a long standing customer and friend from Sydney, Australia. We received a sizeable donation from Michael earlier this week, unsolicited and with no ties. This was a gift from a guy who just wanted to help HSARC and its racers.

 Thanks Michael. We are proud to call you a mate!

If you have been thinking you are needing a haircut, WAIT!!! This Friday evening October 3, 2008 you will have the rare opportunity to have your hair cut by one of Houston's finest barbers Gilles Rouselle. Gil, screen name "frenchy" (very original), has only been racing with HSARC for a few months but, is already very solidly hooked on slot car racing. In a show of support for Houston Scale Auto Racing, Gil is offering to cut your hair while you wait for your next heat race! Normally a clip from Gil for the rich and famous would cost between $45 and $60 but, this Friday HSARC racers of all ages can get their hair cut for $10 for kids and $15 for adults. That's 70%-75% OFF!!!

All proceeds will go to the HSARC recover effort.

The power, water and sewer are back on-line at the shop.

So we'll get back to racing again!!!

We need your support to get through this crisis.  Two weeks with no revenue really hurts our shop.  Please plan on attending our racing programs this Friday night (Sept 26) and pick up some new cars, parts, stuff you need or stuff you don't need. 

The shop you save just may be your own!

UPDATE #5:

As of THURSDAY,  9/25 , the track still FINALLY HAS POWER!!!.

Given that Hurricane Ike and its path of devastation has taken out the operations of the track for 2 weekends in a row now... We kindly ask that ALL our HSARC racers plan on joining us at the track on Friday Sept 26th for our post-Ike re-opening and to come race, purchase new cars, parts, etc. so we can keep the doors open.

HSARC and SCALE AUTO RACING, INC will be CLOSED on FRIDAY, SATURDAY and most likely SUNDAY (Sept 12, 13 and 14) due to Hurricane Ik setting its sights on Houston and coming across the Cypress area.
